The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe6/30/2023 ![]() I can confirm that the error is present in the 26th printing of the book, purchased in spring 2023. (this is near the end of the chapter, the last full page in this edition). Location of the error: Orb edition of Epiphany of the Long Sun. I just finished my first read of Long Sun and found it hard to find detailed information about the error and how to avoid it, so the purpose of this post is to hopefully provide some information and guidance for other new readers. ![]() Unfortunately, they contain a significant misprint that meaningfully detracts from the reading experience. The Orb omnibus editions of The Book of the Long Sun (Litany of the Long Sun, collecting Nightside the Long Sun and Lake of the Long Sun and Epiphany of the Long Sun, collecting Caldé of the Long Sun and Exodus From the Long Sun) are by far the easiest copies of the books to currently obtain. I’m doing a separate post to hopefully make it easier for other new readers to find this information.) ![]() He helped me avoid the issue during my first read. (First, thanks to u/SonStatoAzzurroDiSci for first pinpointing this issue for me: see. ![]()

So believed Maurine Watkins, a wanna-be playwright and a "girl reporter" for the Chicago Tribune, the city's "hanging paper." Newspaperwomen were supposed to write about clubs, cooking and clothes, but the intrepid Miss Watkins, a minister's daughter from a small town, zeroed in on murderers instead. But two murders that spring were special - worthy of celebration. Life was cheaper than a quart of illicit gin in the gangland capital of the world. There was nothing surprising about men turning up dead in the Second City. ![]() The true story of the murderesses who became media sensations and inspired the musical Chicago ![]()
